Christopher Tkacik is pursuing a Master of Music Performance degree with a concentration in Wind Conducting, and also serves as graduate assistant of bands. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC in 2012. From 2012-2015, he taught K-8 general music, middle grades band, and 4th and 5th grade orchestra at Stokes Elementary School in Pitt County. Since 2015, he has served as the director of bands at Greene Central High School in Snow Hill, NC. At East Carolina, he studied Tuba with Yamaha performing artist Tom McCaslin and conducting with Dr. Scott Carter.
