Clayton Cooke is a board-certified music therapist from Stedman, NC pursuing a Master of Music Therapy degree. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy and Music Performance, saxophone from East Carolina University and completed his clinical internship in music therapy at Trident Medical Center and Palmetto Music Therapy, LLC in Charleston, SC. Clayton is experienced in healthcare settings ranging from Neonatal Intensive Care to Assisted Living and Specialized Memory Care. He has completed dementia specialist training through the University of South Carolina Arnold School of Public Health. Clayton is a member of the American Music Therapy Association, the Music Therapy Association of North Carolina, and the National Music Honor Society Pi Kappa Lambda. Clayton joins Appalachian State University in a supervisory role as a graduate assistant in the music therapy department.
