Ling Yu Hsiao, MT-BC completed the Equivalency in Music Therapy at Appalachian. She held a graduate assistantship serving as the pianist for the Quintessential! vocal group under the supervision of Dr. Pedigo. Ling received her B.A in Music from Queens College in Flushing, NY. In 2009, she received her M.M. from the Eastman School of Music in Collaborative Piano under the tutelage of Dr. Jean Barr. From 2009-2013, she served as staff accompanist at both Queens College and Hofstra University. She also accompanied various community and church choirs in the New York metropolitan area. Before moving to Boone, she maintained an active private studio where she taught piano, flute, and collaborated with a wide variety of solo musicians. She is currently working as music therapist in hospice in Des Moines, Iowa.
