Mary Elisabeth is pursuing a Master of Music degree in Performance (Voice). Originally from Durham, NC, she received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy at Appalachian State University in 2009. She has regularly performed in the shows of the Durham Savoyards Ltd. since 2010, including performing the role of Mabel in the organization’s 50th anniversary production of The Pirates of Penzance in 2013. Mary Elisabeth has been teaching private voice lessons in both Durham (Alderman Music Studios) and Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill School of Musical Arts) since June 2014. Her passion for teaching is what led her to pursue her master’s degree. She has a loving husband who has always been one of her biggest supporters, both in life and music.
