Chris Mayhew is a Graduate Student pursuing a Masters of Music degree in Percussion Performance. Currently, he is the Director of Marching Percussion at Lenoir-Rhyne University and a former teacher at Lincolnton Middle School where he spent 5 years building the Band/Choir program. A December 2015 graduate from the Hayes School of Music, he has received other honors during his undergraduate career including: The 2011 NC Teaching Fellow Scholarship, The Carl Anderson Jr. Memorial Music Scholarship, The Hayes School of Music Student Teaching Scholarship, and was the Undergraduate Student Speaker for the December 2015 Graduation. Chris was also a winner of the 2015 NC Day of Percussion Competition and was invited to return as a discussion panelist for the 2019 NC Day of Percussion.
