Marah Stefanisko

Marah Stefanisko is a Board-Certified Music Therapist and RYT-200 Yoga instructor pursuing dual graduate degrees in music therapy and marriage and family therapy. Marah is originally from Sylva, North Carolina. She received her Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy from The University of Georgia in Athens and completed her music therapy internship at Park Nicollet in Minneapolis Minnesota. She believes creative expression, laughter, nature and mind-body connection are powerful tools in the therapeutic process and in life in general. Marah worked as Lead Hospice Music Therapist for Music Speaks out of Richmond VA. Her most recent employment has been with a suicide prevention and musicians resource center, Nuçi’s Space, in Athens GA. When Marah is not at work she can be found outdoors, exploring, reading a nice book, creating music or art, or out and about in her community
