Upon acceptance to the graduate program in music, each Performance graduate student is assigned a faculty advisor. This person will serve as chairperson of the student's graduate committee throughout the program of study and will assist the student in planning and selecting course work. If the Performance graduate student desires a specific graduate faculty member as chairperson of the committee, they should make their desire known to the Master of Music Program Director immediately upon acceptance into the program. A change of advisor may be made without prejudice, but should be done before planning coursework for the initial semester of study.
The Program Director for the Master of Music Therapy degree program serves as advisor for all graduate students in music therapy.
