The development of a thesis, creative thesis in music composition, or clinical paper in music therapy should be accomplished in close consultation with the thesis advisor or clinical supervisor. The student should plan sufficient time for a series of revisions based on the suggestions of the thesis advisor. Other members of the graduate committee may be consulted, but the content and format of the thesis should be approved by the thesis advisor before it is formally presented to the graduate committee.
For deadlines concerning the thesis drafts and final revisions, see Graduate Music Student Checklist at the end of this handbook.
